SH	How to keep aleph_server running?
PB	Aleph_server is being stopped very often (two or three times a day) from reasons we are not able to identify since its log file is not very talkative. It seems that there is a relation between the time when a_s is stopped and a message Signal .... received in the log file: .... server no 4 is on signal 1 received... server no 1 is on server no 2 is on server no 3 is on server no 4 is on Tue Dec 15 07:44:27 MET 1998 * start aleph_server * Tue Dec 15 07:44:27 MET 1998 * start aleph_server loop * server no 1 is on .... or ..... server no 1 received end connection from client signal 15 received... server no 1 is on server no 2 is on server no 1 is on server no 2 is on Wed Dec 16 07:32:53 MET 1998 * start aleph_server * Wed Dec 16 07:32:53 MET 1998 * start aleph_server loop * server no 1 is on .... There are some other strange messages in the log file, the reason and importance of them are not known to us: ... server no 4 is on server no 5 is on Service not define IO_ORDER Service not define IO_ORDER Service not define IO_ORDER Service not define IO_ORDER server no 1 is on server no 2 is on ..... server no 20 timed out Execution error : file '/aleph/a33_0/aleph/exe/com84.gnt' error code: 114, pc=0, call=1, seg=0 114 Attempt to access item beyond bounds of memory (Signal 11) server no 1 is on ....... What can we do for keeping aleph_server running? We need it for Aleph libraries network in the Czech Rep.
